The Chapitre de Lafayette holds its annual fundraiser, the Tribute to Cajun Musicians, in March at La Poussiere. This past year we honored Mr. Robert Jardel and all musicians that have played with him in the past and those who currently play with him. Each honoree is presented with a plaque identical to the one that is hung on the wall at La Poussiere to recognize their achievements in Cajun Music. All musicians that have played with the honoree are listed on the plaque as well as given a keepsake certificate.This fundraiser helps the chapter raise money for expenses inccurred during the year as well as funds for scholarships for the youth for further education or for Cajun Music or French education at various camps around the nation and even into Canada. 

     At the Tribute you can enjoy bands from 10 A.M. till 6 P.M. as well as food, cake walks, a 50/50, and the raffle drawing for cash prizes. All of the procedes from these go to the chapter. The drinks are sold by la Poussiere Cajun Dance Hall. The cover at the door is $8 per person or $15 per couple.
